Why (ドウシテ, Doushite) is the one-hundredth eighty sixth chapter of the Nisekoi manga series written and illustrated by Naoshi Komi, and published weekly in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump.
Summary[]
Chitoge and Raku are being chased by the guards after being caught trying to sneak behind some bushes to save Marika. Marika tries to look through her window to see what happens but the darkness of the night blocks her way.
As Raku and Chitoge run through the hallways of the Tachibana castle, Chitoge spots a broken window and goes through it with Raku, only to find themselves on the roof, no where to go, and the guards slowing approaching them. Chitoge then grabs Raku and throws Raku to the upper floor and tells him to go find Marika's mother as she tries to fight the guards.
Raku runs through the halls and finally runs into Marika's mother. She asks him what he is doing in her palace while Raku is shocked to see how young looking she is. Raku then tells her that he has come to persuade her to end the wedding but she asks him why. Marika's mother explains that nothing was wrong with choosing her daughter's groom and recommends to have Raku marry Marika if he didn't want her to marry a stranger in the first place.
After Raku tells her that Marika should be given more time to choose a groom, Marika's mother tells him that Marika doesn't deserve special treatment or happiness. She had her groom chosen as well and has been tradition in her family for generations and that it wasn't uncommon in other countries for this matter to happen.
Honda then suddenly appears behind Raku with the orders to take Raku into the dungeon. Before Raku is taken away, he ask Marika's mother about what she thinks about her. She tells him that she is disgusted by the question and asks if he wants to hear her say that she loves Marika or something.
Meanwhile, Marika successfully unlocks her door.
