Ryunosuke Sasaki (佐々木 竜之介, Sasaki Ryūnosuke) is a member of the Shūei Clan. He holds the rank of wakagashira (若頭, second in-command), similar to Claude Ringheart of the Bee Hive Gang.
Appearance[]
Ryunosuke is a tall, muscular man with a large dragon tattoo on his exposed right shoulder (in the film, it extends further onto his right pectoral). He has sanpaku eyes which there is a scar around his left eye, dark brown hair and thin mustache. In the movie, his scar is less prominent.
He is shown to wear a light purple kimono with a dark purple belt (in the movie, it is a dark sparkling grey with a light tan inner collar), with one sleeve from his right shoulder to the side to expose his tattoo and shoulder.
Personality[]
Ryunosuke is shown to be overprotective of Raku Ichijō as he is the son of the head of Shuei-Gumi. He is also quite violent against the clan's enemy and whoever insults his bocchan. Despite his tough and menacing appearance, he has also a soft side especially if Raku Ichijō is involved, sometimes serving as a comic relief.
Background[]
As the wakagashira or second-in-command, he takes orders directly from the current head of the clan, Issei Ichijō and serves as a go-between the leader and lower ranking members. He typically seen acting as a bodyguard / personal assistant to Raku, as well as lead the rest of the gang into combat whenever the Bee Hive Gang arrives.

- The name Ryunosuke means "dragon" (竜) (ryu), "this" (之) (no) and "help, assist" (介) (suke).
- Ryunosuke's surname Sasaki means "help, aid" (佐) (sa) and "tree, wood" (木) (ki).
