Family[]
Nanako Onodera[]
Nanako is Kosaki's mother. She is aware of Kosaki's poor cooking skills, and thus would often put her in charge of the till at her shop. After Nanako approves of Raku and his performance at her shop, she would embarrass Kosaki (and later Haru) with comments about Raku.
Haru Onodera[]
Haru is Kosaki's younger sister. Despite being the younger sister, Haru is more actively involved in the Onodera family business. Haru also has a headstrong personality, using it initially to protect Kosaki from Raku, as Haru had heard rumors about Raku being a criminal, and accused Raku of looking up her skirt more than once. Once Haru is convinced that Raku isn't a bad person, she helps support Kosaki on her pursuit of Raku despite her (Haru's) own feelings for Raku.
Sasa Miyanagi[]
Sasa is Kosaki's daughter, who appears in the final bonus chapter. Sasa does not live with Kosaki at the time of her introduction, instead she lives with Haru, which she calls "Auntie Haru".
Friends[]
Ruri Miyamoto[]
Ruri Miyamoto is Kosaki's best friend. Ruri supports Kosaki in her love-life (a.k.a. Raku) and is almost always the one who always does the first move to put Kosaki and Raku in a situation in which they try to confess their love for each other.
Once Ruri hears of Kosaki's confession to Raku at the Tenku Plateau, which ultimately ended with rejection, Ruri cries and hugs Kosaki.
Raku Ichijō[]
Raku met Kosaki when they were children and at Chapter 221, she was revealed to be the promised girl. They met again when they were both in middle school.[3] Raku considers her to be his ideal woman and is in love with her. While Kosaki is in love with Raku as well, she is too shy to confess to him. Both of them are completely unaware that the feelings they hold for each other are mutual. Kosaki loves Raku because he is kind and caring. Like the other girls who like him, she can be jealous of him spending time with other girls. However, her jealousy never extends to the point of bloodlust like Marika or Chitoge. She often wonders whether Raku and Chitoge's "fake relationship" is actually developing into something more special. Both she and Raku become embarrassed when they say each other's first names, and they quickly revert to what they call each other regularly. Raku wants to spend more time with her but usually cannot because he is under watch by Claude or has to maintain the illusion that he and Chitoge are dating, but when he is given the chance he will take opportunities to go shopping with her or help her at her parents' Japanese candy shop.[4] Kosaki's best friend Ruri, who is aware of the situation, tries to put them into situations that will cause them to admit their feelings for each other. These situations normally fail for random reasons.
It is later revealed that Kosaki is the promised girl. In Chapter 225, Kosaki confesses her love to Raku. She understands however, that someone else is already in his heart. Kosaki gives her key to Raku as he takes it and goes away, thanking Kosaki for what she has done. On his way to find Chitoge, Raku stops and puts Kosaki's key into his pendant. He opens it to find a letter from when he and Kosaki were younger. He finds two rings as well. Kosaki asks at the end of her letter if Raku still likes her, even now. Raku drops onto the ground and tells himself that they've liked each other all this time but they ended up knowing a little too late.
Chitoge Kirisaki[]
Chitoge shares a friendly relationship with Kosaki, close enough that they call each other by their first names. She is one of the first girls to know that Raku and Chitoge are fake lovers. Only after making Valentine's Day chocolate together do Chitoge and Kosaki tell each other they're in love with someone. They promise to help each other out to win over their crushes without telling each other who their crushes are until they've confessed. During the second year, Kosaki being Chitoge's best friend is exemplified by her crying the most when she learns of Chitoge's transfer from Bonyari High against the latter's wishes, as well as being most relieved when Chitoge is allowed to return.
Kosaki hears of Chitoge's sudden transfer out of Bonyari High on her own terms, two days after confessing to an unconscious Raku. When tracked down in New York suddenly by Raku and Kosaki themselves, Chitoge hides from Raku but not Kosaki, who asks if Chitoge likes Raku as well. Chitoge denies, and runs away again. She does not see Kosaki again until returning to the place both had met Raku in their childhood - the Tenku Plateau - and only after both had confessed to Raku separately, with Kosaki losing out. There, they merely hug and cry.
Years later, Raku and Chitoge are preparing for their wedding. Kosaki happily calls one of them and tell them she is grateful that she is the one making their wedding cake.
Seishirō Tsugumi[]
Although they aren't close friends, Kosaki was the first person to recognize Tsugumi's strange sensations that the latter was having trouble identifying - Kosaki claimed it was because Tsugumi had a crush on somebody.
Marika Tachibana[]
Although Marika has once asked Kosaki whether she likes Raku, the latter's denial (despite the contrary) was enough to convince them to become friends. As a result, Marika never had to call Kosaki out on the subject, and in return, Kosaki never seemed bothered by Marika's public displays of affection to Raku. However, Marika has the tendency of teasing Kosaki or placing her in embarrassing situations along with the other characters.
