Encounter (ソウグウ, Sōgū) is the fourth chapter of the Nisekoi manga series written and illustrated by Naoshi Komi, published weekly in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump.

Overview[]

Kosaki has appeared in front of Raku. At the bathroom, Chitoge overhears the conversation of one of gang members and tries to back that up by running towards Raku. Chitoge is in shock when she finds Kosaki was with Raku, which caused come misunderstandings. After Chitoge leaves, Raku asks Kosaki if she had seen his pendant when she was a child, but Kosaki denies it. Kosaki walks home and Raku tries to find Chitoge to apologize for the misunderstandings earlier. As Kosaki arrives home and goes towards her room, she holds a key in her hand which proves that she had lied to Raku about his pendant.

Plot[]

Kosaki has appeared in front of Raku, asking him what he's doing at the park, while Raku asks what she've been doing. Chitoge sees that Raku is talking to someone and overhears a conversation from one of the gang members becoming suspicious of the relationship Chitoge and Raku really have. She decides to run straight towards Raku, but is shocked seeing Kosaki with him while Kosaki is also shocked that Chitoge called Raku "darling". Kosaki thinks that the two are dating, although they deny it but after noticing Claude, Raku and Chitoge can't tell Kosaki the truth.

Raku is lost in thoughts and denies everything that Chitoge tells Kosaki. Chitoge becomes frustrated and leaves Raku behind. Claude is finally sure to himself that Raku and Chitoge are hiding something after observating their date. Raku tries to tell the truth to Kosaki, but Kosaki tells Raku that she understands the situation he is in. Raku asks Kosaki she has seen the pendant he has somewhere before as a child but Kosaki tells Raku that she never have seen the pendant before, and leaves which makes Raku disappointed. Raku almost forgot to go to Chitoge, and goes to get her dorayaki, which she actually hates.

As Kosaki returns home and enters her room, she looks at a picture where Raku is tired from a school marathon. Kosaki regrets for lying to Raku about his pendant as she holds out a key and knows that it will be harder for her to ask him.
