A Huge Lie (オオウソ, Oouso) is the seventy fourth chapter of the Nisekoi manga series written and illustrated by Naoshi Komi, published weekly in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump.
Summary[]
During spring break, Chitoge and Raku have a "scheduled date". Chitoge feels that there is something missing from their dates, since all they do is talk. Chitoge hopes that she could hold Raku's hand once in a while. Chitoge then realizes that their date will be on April Fools' Day, and gets an idea.
As Chitoge and Raku meet up for their date, Chitoge tells Raku that 500 members of the Bee Hive Gang are watching them on their date because Claude wanted to re-evaluate their relationship. In actuality, Chitoge has lied as an April Fools' joke, in an attempt to do couple things with Raku.
Despite Chitoge suggesting average couple things on their date, Raku takes this precaution seriously. He takes things to the extreme in several events as he wraps his arm around her shoulder, plays the "the Pocky Game" with her, and carrying her bridal style when her heels snapped. Chitoge becomes embarrassed at all of Raku's extreme actions and causes her to hurt him each time.
Chitoge begins to feel very guilty about lying to Raku, but doesn't want to tell him for fear that he'd hate her for it. Raku notices Chitoge seems worried, and assures her that they'll be fine. He tells her that the his family has a set of rules, and that he will always protect her, even if she is not his real girlfriend. Chitoge then apologizes and tells him that it was all an April Fools' joke, and that no one is watching them. Raku is shocked, but does not cause a fuss. He tells her that they both did embarrassing things. Chitoge's heel completely snaps off, and her and Raku hold hands as they walk back home.
